Settings of the novel, "The Wars", by Timothy Findley
From
section one to section two; there are various settings in the novel, “The Wars”,
by Timothy Findley. During the prologue of the novel, the setting is somewhere
in France during World War one. As the story progresses, the setting changes
yet again to Ontario, Canada, then to Lethbridge, Alberta, and finally to one
of the maritime provinces in Canada, the time period alternates between the
late 19th century, and the early 20th century. In section
2, the author takes the reader to the settings of a ship in the middle of the
Atlantic Ocean, to an English hospital, and finally to the trenches of France,
all this takes place during sometime in the year 1916. Although I haven’t read
the rest of the novel, I believe the majority of it will take place in France
during the time period of the early 20th century.

How are you liking the book? I'm reading 'The last of the Crazy People' by the same author and it's not too great.
ReplyDelete"The Wars" is a pretty solid novel.
